But what if the things we hope for do not happen?
What do we do when a new day no longer feels new?
There is a difference between hope and optimism.
True hope is grounded in something real, something certain.
What if there is a hope that will never disappoint you?
Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
Psalm 33:22
Life is full of uncertainty. The people we thought we could trust let us down. Our plans for the future fall through.
These disappointments steal our joy.
They crush our desire to move forward when life gets tough.
But the God who created the world and calls you his own, he never changes.
His power and compassion for us is steadfast through every disappointment.
God does not just give us hope.
He is our hope!
And this hope will not lead to disappointment.
For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:5
Careers, health, relationships–they all change with time. But God will never fail you. He is always good, even in the midst of struggle. He never gives up on us, even when we don’t deserve it.
His love for us never changes. And when we ground our lives in His love–trusting in him alone–we will never be shaken.
You can put your hope in something, and someone, certain today.
